Animal Mobile directions

Fish
1.        Chain 6
2.        Double Crochet 3
3.        Chain 3 turn
4.        Double Crochet 3
5.        Chain 3 turn
6.        Double crochet 4
7.        Chain 3 turn
8.        Double crochet 8
9.        Chain 3 turn
10.     Repeat steps eight and nine until you have six rows of eight double crochets (7 including the row from step three)
11.     Double crochet 4
12.     Chain three turn
13.     Double crochet three
14.     Chain three turn
15.     Double crochet three
16.     Chain three turn
17.     Double crochet six
18.     Chain 3turn
19.     Double crochet twelve
20.     Finish off

·         This makes one side. Repeat all steps for another side. Sew the sides together and stuff

Lion
1.        Text Box: BodyChain 8
2.        Double crochet 8
3.        Repeat step 2 eight times.
4.        Steps 1-3 makes one side. Repeat and stitch together to make a body
5.        Steps 1-4 are the body

1.        Chain 3
2.        Text Box: Legs Double crochet 2
3.        Chain 1
4.        Repeat steps 2-3 eight times.  
5.        Steps 1-4 are the legs.

1.        Make the magic circle
2.        Text Box: HeadChain 1, double crochet 4
3.        Chain 1, and double crochet around the circle until the ball is one inch.
4.        Stuff
5.        Close the hole by slip stitching across the hole until it is closed off.
6.        Steps 1-5 are the head.

2.        Step 1 is the tail.

Stuff all pieces and stitch together

Cat, Dog, Elephant and Pig
Follow the same “head”, “tail”, “legs” and “body” as the Lion for all the above listed animals.
Cat: Ears
1.        After the above instructions stitch and stuff all those parts together
2.        Chain 3 and slip together the stitch by the hook and the very first stitch (by the knot)
3.        Fasten off. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for another ear.
4.        Stitch both ears to the head
Pig:
1.        Follow the cat ear instructions.
2.        Tail: Chain three, double crochet (4) in each chain. It will naturally curl. Fasten off.
3.        Snout: Chain 2, double crochet 2 and fasten off.
Dog:
1.        Ears: Chain 3, double crochet 3, chain one and turn, double crochet 3. Fasten off. (repeat for second ear)
Elephant:
1.        Ears: Chain 8, double crochet 8, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 7, chain 1 & turn, (continue skipping one until you have only double crochet 3). Fasten off
2.        Repeat step one for the second ear.
3.        Trunk: Chain 6, double crochet 6, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 6 (stitch the sides together)

Dinosaur:
1.        Tail (follow Elephant trunk instructions)
2.        Legs (follow Lion legs instructions)
3.        Head (follow Lion head instructions)
4.        Body (follow Lion body instructions) but fold down one side to make a triangle shape. (makes one side)
5.        Stitch all pieces together and stuff.
Octopus:
1.        For body follow steps 2-4 below.
2.        Magic circle
3.        Chain 1, double crochets 6.
4.        Chain 1 and double crochet around the circle until the ball is one inch from top to bottom and across.
5.        For legs follow steps below:
6.        Chain 11
7.        Double crochet 7 in each chain. Finish off.
8.        Repeat steps 5 through 7, eight times for the tentacles.
9.        Stuff and stitch.
Giraffe:
1.        Follow the Lion’s body, legs, tail and head instructions.
2.        Neck: Chain 16, double crochet 8, chain 1 & turn, continue “” until you have 4 rows. Fold and stuff and stitch.
3.        Stitch brown string in spots on the neck and body.
4.        Horns: chain seven and slip stich the last stitch (by the knot) & the chain closest to the hook.
5.        Ears: follow cat ear instructions.
Rabbit:
1.        Follow Lion body and head.
2.        Make two Lion legs. Chain 4, double crochet 4 and fold (do this twice and stitch to make the other two legs)
3.        Ears: chain 10 slips stitch
Monkey:
1.        Body: Follow octopus body.
2.        Arms: Follow lion legs
3.        Tail: Follow the lion tail.
4.        Ears: Chain 5. Slip stitch the first stitch and the stitch closest to the hook. (makes one, repeat again for another)
Duck:
1.        Body: Follow elephant ear instructions
2.        Wings: Follow elephant ear instructions
3.        Head: Follow lion head instructions
4.        Feet: Chain three, double crochets 3, double crochet 1, chain 2 double crochet 3.  (makes one, repeat for another foot)
5.        Beak: Chain three, double crochets 3.
6.        Stitch all together and stuff.
Bear:
1.        Follow all the monkey instructions but no tail.
Turtle:
1.        Body: Follow octopus body but only until ball is an inch.
2.        Stitch a lighter color in spots on the ball for a shell design.
3.        Stitch the legs like the body but only until the ball is half an inch (repeat for four legs)
4.        Head: Follow lion leg instructions.
Bird:
1.        Wings: Chain 24, double crochet 24, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 23. Fasten off.
2.        Tail/Body: Chain 10, double crochet 10, chain 1 & turn, follow this pattern but dropping one stitch each time until there are only two double crochets. Fasten off (makes one side, repeat for another side)
3.        Head: Chain 3, double crochet three, chain 1 & turn, double crochet six, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 12, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 12, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 6, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 3. Fasten off, fold over, stitch and stuff. Then stitch to the body.
4.        Stitch and stuff.
Penguin:
1.        Body: Follow octopus body.
2.        Black sides: Follow lion body but make only one side. Stitch to the penguin body.
3.        Head: Follow the lion body.
4.        Black side for head: chain 10, chain 1 & turn, double crochet 10, chain 1 & turn, double crochet ten. (You’ll have three rows).
5.        Feet: Follow the duck feet pattern.
6.        Beak: Follow the duck beak pattern.
7.        Wings: Chain five, double crochet five, chain 1 & turn, double crochet four, chain 1 & turn, double crochet three. Fold one side of the wing to make a point. Stitch. (makes one wing, repeat for another wing)
Frame:

1.        Four dowels, cut in half. Put the holes together and hung by the string with the Wooden Circle.
